art+muzak: june 26th, 2010

** it was a boisterous show! with 5 musicians (including strangers jamming out off the street), 4 stand up comics, a dj and an amazing crowd it was our most exciting arty party yet! thanks to everyone who came out and supported local art, we love ya! **

SATURDAY – JUNE 26th – the art+muzak massive!

THE ONE, THE ONLY, THE BADDEST ARTY PARTY IN TOWN! come help us usher in endless summer days and show your love of local talent! bringing together a crowd from all walks of life, the bohemians are proud to present another in a long line of excellent celebrations of visual, audio and performance art! featuring over a dozen amazing local artists and musicians, plus a crowd full of awesome folks like you, this is going to be amazing!! viva edmonton!! show starts at 9pm! entry free for members, memberships available at the door! please bring a donation for the edmonton foodbank if you can!

  • Axcella M. Zelensky – boo inspired art & emporium, with heartfelt pieces showing the challenges of life and how we overcome them
  • Jolanda Thomas – bright, fun and exciting, a series of photographs in sharp focus!
  • Alice Dorne – first timer Alice came out of the rabbit hole and displayed her beautiful pencil/collage works!
  • Team Anger Photography – an introspective collection of the caught in time moments that make up our lives…
  • Shawn & Adrianne Olszewski – a double-header combo display of new quirky awesomeness from our far-out pals!

    • and serenading your ears, we got down to:

  • Powermann’s Comedy Cavalcade! – a 4 header comedy show with 7 minute slots, the gang got down and made us laugh up a storm! go stand up comics!
  • Cardiac Collective – crooning with an edge, Kyle brings the noise to the landscape of emotional music.
  • the jammers – a newly formed jam band without a name, these boys laid down a solid groove with a catchy show! sunglasses were in full effect and the hooks raged!
  • Will Cole – touching our hearts while keeping the beat, Will’s sound is best described as soulful but fun!
  • the Swine – vicious noise with a feedback loop, guitar flailing and a scream to boot – the swine rocked the stage and
  • DJ Flowbee – making a special appearance, Flowbee dropped record after record and mashed up a bit of everything for our dancing delight! dance poolie, dance!
