new years & hangover parties! [2009/10]

we threw a ‘sluts & dinosaurs’ party to bring in the new year – for the event we decided it was time to get our own venue so we rented a funky little basement on 124st and got down! we featured a laid back carpeted disco party with comfy chairs and groovy decorations, as well as started the club who’s page your currently browsing!

on january 2nd, we hosted a ‘new years hangover’ party and opened up 2300 square feet of subterranean space – with 2 rooms of music and a dancefloor drenched in trippy lights and bass frequencies. keeping it down and dirty, our chill room got right into the jam with a special guest performance by none other than babe lloyd and steve steffler!

from these events we realized that the time was ripe to find our own arts venue and celebrate edmonton’s diy culture – and you’re seeing the result by joining up with us and sharing your awesome passions! pat yourself on the back folks, this is all about YOU!
