the bohemian cleanup!

you wouldn’t know it now, but when we recently took possession of the permanent home for our intrepid art gallery/cafe/music venue the place was a bloody mess! the prior tenants apparently “repaired” old office equipment like copiers and fax machines and dictaphones and such, and when they left, they abandoned quite a bit of it! from backbreakingly heavy machinery to pieces of jagged plastic to smashed glass to circuit boards to toxic toner and beyond, we sherpa’d, rolled, lifted, swept, vacuumed, steamcleaned, wiped and generally french-maided it up! the poor carpet took an incredible amount of vacuuming and despite mucho steamcleaning, it had to go – and we don’t even want to tell you about the crud we removed from on top of the lighting fixtures and shelves! this was definitely a big, disgusting job no one wanted to do – but we think the end result has been worthwhile! check out the insanity we got to tidy up!
